Problems encountered...

Last weekend was filming week and, although we all did a good job and got some nice shots, it was not enough. Therefore, I decided to make another shooting day.

My first idea was asking my friend Miguel Barber to help me with the filming as I wanted him to film himself playing the electric guitar as he doesn't live in Madrid and it was impossible for us to meet. However, in the last minute he had to cancel so I panicked as I no one else who plays the guitar.

After hours thinking and looking for alternatives... something came up to my mind. I though of hiring a guitar teacher for an hour and instead of him teaching, he could actually play and I would film him. I searched everywhere and I discovered a page where you can find music teachers near you.

The page was called 'super proof' and I found this teacher who lives very close to me for a fair price. However, after telling them my idea they denied which was understandable as they are looking for long term students

I knew that I was not going to be easy to find a guitar player so I decided to look for a local instead. I was lucky enough to find 'Ensayos Jendrix' not that far away from where I live. Their prices were really good.

Javier, who was the guy who contacted me, answered my email instantly and he told me that he had a free place on Sunday at 15.00. The room includes guitar amplifier, acoustic drum and microphones as well as lighting for the price of 16 euros an hour. I immediately took the opportunity and booked us a place.

Now that the place was assured, I still had to look for the guitar player. I asked everyone. From class mates, to teachers, to friends of friends...

After getting more than one no (mainly because of timing), I finally found someone!

Joey does A Level Year 12 Media and he plays the electric guitar really well. I contacted him by social media and he agreed to help so we met in school and I explained my main ideas and the parts of the song I wanted him to learn. We talked about the outfit that would fit best with his character and I sent him the location and time for Sunday so that he could be there on time according to my time-table.
